The Malaysian Labour Department is responsible for employee welfare, employer advantage, national labour policy implementation through administrative and Labour Act enforcement and effective promotion actions to provide the productive and committed human resources. We are hereby will produce the efficient, faster and honest with trust and friendly elements to fulfill the customer satisfaction.
 

1) To make available an effective and customer friendly JobsMalaysia centre to:

  • Provide the free facility to register online;
  • Match jobs within 24 hours subject to suitability of position and qualifications; and
  • Provide job placement support services

2) To investigate and communicate results of the investigation into every complaint on labour issues within 30 days of the complaint date

3) To resolve labour complaint cases through the Labour Court within 90 days of the date of filing

4) To process licence applications under the Private Employment Agencies Act 1981 within 14 working days

5) To process applications for the public entertainment licence under the Children and Young Persons (Employment) Act 1966 within 14 working days

6) To issue workers' compensation assessment under the Workmen’s Compensation Act 1952 within 5 working days of receipt of complete documents

7) To process and issue recommendations within 14 days of the date of receipt of complete documents for foreign employment applications

8) To give advice and attend to customers’ queries quickly, accurately and in a friendly manner

9) To provide friendly counter service to every customer of the department
